First, he stole Chelsea's hard-earned FIFA Club World Cup and gave the team a replica. That will be a day of infamy in Soccer History. Now, he plans to punish the Blue cities of Seattle and San Diego because he claims they are run by radical leftists. As soon as the news broke, other cities offered to host matches if relocation becomes necessary, one of which is Vancouver, my hometown. Meanwhile, Trump is focused on Republican interests every day. He cuts deals with economic entities and acquires companies, generating profits for his family and the Party. At the same time, the wise men watch the vulture eat the liver of the United States of America and do nothing.
Well, MLS is all about Immigration, and so is the 2026 World Cup
Trump addressed reporters in the Oval Office on Thursday and suggested that some matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States could be moved to other cities, saying, “If I think it’s not safe, we’re going to move it out of that city.”
He initially claimed that the World Cup cities would be “very secure,” yet soon after, he expressed concerns about several potential host cities that have opposed his immigration policies and other related issues.
My best bet? If he undertakes such an action, the Games might not even take place if the courts fail to deliver a definitive ruling before the opening match. Because we all know: if he cannot generate production and real progress, he might as well make the law firms a bit richer.
Trump: We Won’t Allow Any Issues
The 48-team World Cup will be held across 11 cities in the U.S., as well as three cities in Mexico and two in Canada. Although Chicago, Memphis, and Washington, D.C. are not among the American host cities, all three were central to Trump’s answer, as he addressed safety following his deployment of the National Guard in Washington, D.C., in August.
“As you probably know, we’re going into Memphis, and we’re going into some other cities, and very soon we’re going to go into Chicago. It will be safe for the World Cup,” he said. So, he is planning to invade his own country with his law enforcement ICE buddies, and if by now he had no good excuse, now Infantino gives him a few.
Left is a four-letter word in Trump's limited dictionary
“If I think it’s not safe, we’re going to move it out of that city. So if any city we think is going to be even a little bit dangerous for the World Cup, or for the (2028) Olympics, you know where they have Olympic overthrow right, but for the World Cup in particular, because they’re playing in so many cities, we won’t allow it. We’ll move it around a little bit. But I hope that’s not going to happen.”
It remains unclear how or when matches would be decided to be moved to other cities, but an answer could become clearer following the FIFA World Cup draw on Dec. 5 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
Sports Illustrated's request for comment to FIFA and the governments of Canada and Mexico was not immediately responded to.
Other Cities Willing to Add Games
The 2026 World Cup will be hosted in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Trump’s attention regarding the World Cup is primarily focused on the American cities. However, other host cities have contacted FIFA to express their interest in accommodating additional matches if any need to be relocated. If matches are relocated, Vancouver, Canada, which is scheduled to host seven games up to the Round of 16, is prepared to welcome more matches.
Really? No solidarity from my hometown to the blue cities of the south? What am I talking about? I just heard that Kushner bought Electronic Arts...
“Additional games in British Columbia would not only be possible, but they would be incredibly welcome," David Eby, the social democrat Premier of the province of British Columbia, told reporters. “We've actually written to FIFA to say if, for whatever reason, they need to move games from any other locations, British Columbia stands ready to host," he added.
Boy, the color of money can make you forget the color of your affiliate Party...
"We can move quickly. We have an amazing team, and we are ready to host additional games here in this beautiful province.”
