President Donald Trump expressed his belief that the U.S. is “going to end up with a great deal” with Iran to conclude the ongoing war.

During an interview on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Trump stated that he does not intend to extend the ceasefire with Iran, which is set to expire on Wednesday.

“I think they have no choice,” he said when asked about expectations for the upcoming round of peace negotiations with Iran. “We’ve taken out their navy, we’ve taken out their air force, we’ve taken out their leaders,” he added.

While acknowledging that the removal of leaders complicates matters, Trump remarked, “These leaders are much more rational.” He mentioned that it is, in essence, regime change, regardless of how it's labeled, even though he did not initially plan for such an outcome.

When asked if he would consider extending the ceasefire to allow time for negotiations to secure a peace deal, Trump responded, “Well, I don’t want to do that.”

THE MEXICAN AFTERTASTE

There are many narratives, you know, fed by official and unofficial sources. But we should stick to our reality checks. Well, here's an idea to break the ice! How about terminating all military operations in the Strait, maybe letting their ships pass the blockade without the usual harassment by the Navy? And about the regime change... denial will not serve you well. Are you going to tell them that they have to change their "blood thirsty" ways, and they will do it? No, they won't. Because they value them as much as we value ours here in the West. Maybe you should look at your mirror, the faces of thousands of dead children in Gaza. Are you willing to change your "blood thirsty" ways? You said: "We restocked, they had time to restock". Sounds to me that the establishment is happy. Are you going to unload? That is the next question.

Speaking of unloading. News just came in that Israel was attacked by Iranian missiles. If verified, we can kiss this ceasefire goodbye.

Wouldn't mind a spicy taco, if it wasn't for the aftertaste.
